Hezbollah chief vows ‘definite’ response after Israel ‘crossed red lines’ by killing commander
Hezbollah on Thursday promised a “resolute” response to the killing of its top military commander by Israel, saying the strike had crossed red lines and the decades-long rivalry between the foes had entered a new phase. “The resistance can only respond. That’s for sure,” Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said in a televised address at the slain commander’s funeral, attended by black-clad mourners waving the group’s yellow-green flag. “We are looking for a real answer, not a performative answer, and for real opportunities. A considered answer,” Nasrallah said. An Israeli strike on Hezbollah’s stronghold in the southern suburbs of Beirut
