Astronomers detect interstellar tunnels leading to distant stars
Astronomers have revealed a stunning new structure in our galaxy area, a interstellar tunnel that seems to connect the hot gas bubble surrounding our solar system in areas around other stars. The finding comes from a study Led by Dr. LL Sala and a team at the Max-Planck Institute, which analyzed data from the X Erosita X-ray to the spectrum of the Spectrum-Rentgen-Gamma mission, combined with earlier observations from the Rosat survey. Our solar system sits within what astronomers call the local hot bubble, an area of about 300 light -widths full of very hot low density gas. This bubble
