The Pakistan’s Stock Exchange (PSX) continued its northern course on Thursday, with the KSE-100 reference index escalating another high high. The index added 464 points, or 0.30%, to settle at 152,666, as the expanded momentum showed little signs of deceleration.
“The session began in a strong note, with investors doubled with fertilizers, cement, technology and E&P stocks,” said Ali Najib, deputy head of trading at Arif Habib Ltd. Heavyweights, such as the Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC) together, contributing to 434 points in the day’s profits.
The market feeling was further enhanced by the government’s latest Bill auction, which increased its 491 billion Rs against the target of the RS400 billion. Analysts noted that fixed yields, with only one month relaxing by 14 basis points, emphasized strong liquidity in the system and enhanced investor confidence.
Despite the light dip in volumes compared to the previous session, the overall activity remained strong. The turnover amounted to 954 million shares, worth $ 46 billion. The BOP Bank (BOP) once again dominated the volume charts, with 99.5 million shares changing their hands, highlighting prolonged retail and institutional interests.
Market observers see 150,000 points as a steady level of support, with the index now within a spectacular distance from the long -awaited 153,000 milestone. Analysts believe that abundant liquidity and danger feeling will continue to drive fresh high as the bulls keep their grip on the market.
