“Investors will avoid for a few weeks or until clearly the risk of escalation is observed,” he added.
The market remains unstable after New Delhi’s response to the deadly attack on the Indian illegal occupied jam and Kashmir (Iiojk), which included the suspension of a bilateral water treaty, the cutting of diplomatic ties and the imposition of travel restrictions. Pakistan has been opposed by closing its airspace on Indian flights and expelling Indian diplomats.
Along with geopolitical executives, the Pakistani State Bank (SBP) has noted global policies as an increasing risk in revision of financial stability 2024.
He warned that the new US invoices and the shift of global trade potential could harm economic growth and complicate economic conditions for emerging markets such as Pakistan.
In addition, SBP weekly figures have revealed a decline of $ 367 million in foreign exchange reserves, now amounting to $ 10.21 billion. The Central Bank attributed the reduction of debt repayments and limited economic inflows. The total reserves, including those owned by commercial banks, decreased to $ 15,436 billion.
Despite the March record of $ 1.2 billion, the account surplus, the country had a $ 97 million deficit in February. The SBP emphasized that maintaining recovery depends on the constant progress of structural reforms and building external reserves.
As the week closes, the investor remains increased, with markets carefully monitoring diplomatic developments and signs of fiscal and monetary stability.
