The Golden State Warriors opened the second series playoffs with a 99-88 sure win over Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night-but the victory came with a big terrorism as Stephen Curry left the game early with a left injury.
The two -time MVP and the face of the franchise came out in the second trimester after 13 points in just 13 minutes. Curry saw his hamstring holding and heading straight into the closet, throwing a shadow over what was a very promising start to the warriors.
Speaking after the game, coach Steve Kerr offered a careful update.
“Exactly everyday, we will get a magnetic resonance imaging tomorrow,” Kerr said. “I talked to him in the halftime – he’s obviously crushed, but the kids took him and played a great game.”

Kerr suggested that the team is already preparing for game 2 without their star.
“We are definitely a game plan to not be available on Thursday,” he admitted. “With a hamstring. It’s hard to imagine that it would play.”
The possible absence of Curry is an important blow to warriors, who have leaning strongly in his leadership and rating in all the playoffs. On average 24 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.7 assists in the first round and remains the emotional core of the group.
Despite the loss of Midgame Curry, the warriors responded with sand and depth. Draymond Green took the reins, providing 18 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
Buddy Hield drove all scorers with 24 points and nailed to a crucial three -piece in the fourth quarter to overcome a Timberwolves’ return. Jimmy Butler added 20 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists to a well -rounded, veteran performance.
Game 2 is set for May 8th. While warriors have proven that they can survive a night without curry, the result of magnetic resonance imaging could determine its rest after their period.
