A company called Reside Custom Homes has accused Sofia Vergara of non-payment and labor abuse
The contractors who renovated Sofia Vergara’s Los Angeles mansion are suing her for alleged unpaid work and mistreatment.
According Peoplea company called Reside Custom Homes (RCH) filed a complaint against him Modern family alum on November 27.
They accused Sofia of failing to pay them about $1.7 million in two invoices, dated March and July 2023, and also alleged “breach of contract, fraud and interference with contractual relations.”

In addition, RCH also alleged that its employees and subcontractors were mistreated at the construction site.
“Throughout RCH’s work on the property, Vergara routinely engaged in aggressive outbursts and humiliated, ridiculed, harassed and sought to intimidate RCH employees, representatives and subcontractors, among others,” the complaint states.
According to records cited by the publication, Sofia purchased the home for $26 million in 2020 while she was still married to ex-husband Joe Manganiello.
The estranged couple, who announced their separation after seven years of marriage in July, previously resold another home in the area for $18 million in June.
The 51-year-old actress’ attorney, Martin Singer, told the report, “My client filed claims against the contractor, Resid, several months prior to the filing of this outlandish lawsuit.”

It said Sophia’s claims of overcharging by Reside, shoddy and negligent work and long delays seek more than $5 million in damages.
