Security sources say 15 militants were killed during multiple intelligence-based operations across several districts of Balochistan (Geo News).
The operations, described as part of Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3, were said to have been conducted in Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai and Nushki. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered, the sources said, adding that the operations had inflicted significant damage on the militant network in the province.
The account comes from security sources rather than a formal Inter-Services Public Relations statement. The casualty figure, the affiliations attributed to those killed and the accounts of the engagements have not been independently verified, and no independent access to the sites has been reported. Geo’s report attributes the group affiliation to Fitna al-Khawarij, the label the military generally applies to militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; operations in Balochistan are usually attributed to the group it calls Fitna al-Hindustan.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the forces, saying they had thwarted the designs of both Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij. He described security personnel fighting terrorism as the pride of the nation and said the government remained committed to eliminating militants affiliated with both groups from the province.
The operations follow those reported two days earlier, in which three militants were said to have been killed and twelve suspects detained during a search and clearance operation in the Kambela and Asimabad areas of Mastung district.
Violence has risen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan since 2021. The concentration is documented independently: the Centre for Research and Security Studies found the two provinces together accounted for nearly 96 per cent of all violence-related fatalities in the second quarter of 2026 — more than 61 per cent (475 deaths) in KP and 34 per cent (265) in Balochistan. KP recorded 151 violent incidents, 57 per cent of the national total, and Balochistan 94, or 35 per cent.
