Sean Ono Lennon has just revealed that not all Beatles know now days.
He said that many elderly people believe that “” Oh, everyone knows the Beatles, everyone knows John Lennon. “And that is just not the case.”
“I know friends of my nephew and nephew. I talk to the Gen Z kids and some of them do not know the difference between the Beatles and the Monkees. I swear,” Sean Ono said.
“If people think we should stop making new music versions, I think it’s very wrong, because I don’t want to live in a world where people don’t know this music,” said the beatles member, the late John Lennon.
He continued: “So, I have a duty to continue putting it and listening to it as good as possible and find ways to interest young people and it’s not just for me and my parents.
Sean Ono was just five years old when his father was shot in New York and for him, music was a way of connecting with his dad.
“First I was interested in music because of my dad. I always felt that music was a way to get close to him,” he said with a thin smile.
In addition, Sean Ono also expressed his view of growing up in the shadow of his famous dad.
“People always talk about how I grew up in my dad’s shadow – something that is true, but my mom (Yoko Ono) really did,” he revealed.
“He had a thriving art career, and then, as soon as he met with my dad, this kind went out of the window for a while.
“At that time in England, when my dad and mom gathered, it was truly shocking to see a British man with a Japanese woman. Then you add that the fact that he was not just a candy, was a truly radical curious and interesting artist,
