SBP stocks are increasing by $ 21 million

Karachi:

Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves increased during the week ended on September 26, 2025, with the Pakistani state bank (SBP) reporting $ 21 million.

According to SBP data, central bank stocks rose to $ 14.40 billion, from $ 14.38 billion a week earlier. The net stocks held by commercial banks amounted to $ 5.39 billion. This brought the country’s total liquid reserves to $ 19.79 billion on September 26, 2025.

In addition, Pakistani Rupia suffered its upward potential against the US dollar on Thursday, estimating 0.01% on the market among banks. At the end of the negotiation, the local currency settled on 281.27, winning four Paisa from the previous day at 281.31.

In the world market, the US dollar has stabilized in early Asian trade after the US Supreme Court announced that it would hear arguments in January on President Donald Trump’s attempt to remove Federal Reserve Lisa Cook, leaving it for now.

According to ISMA IQBal Securities, Rupia has underestimated 0.97% in the current calendar year to date, but shows a 0.89% estimate in the current financial year to date.

Gold prices in Pakistan fell, reflecting the international market, where Bullion fell nearly 1% after the warning of the Federal Bank of the US Bank of Dallas, Lorie Logan, against aggressive interest rates.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Union, the price of gold per Toola was reduced by RS2,500 to be installed in RS407,778, while gold 10 grams fell from RS2,144 to RS349,603. This correction comes after Wednesday’s growth, when gold had climbed from RS3,500 to hit a high high RS410,278 per Tola.

In contrast, silver prices have increased higher, with the percentage per Tola increasing by RS13 to RS4,839.

Commenting on the international trend, Adnan Agar’s interactive commodity manager noted that the market had turned “slightly heavy” after hitting the top of $ 3,897 earlier at the summit. Later, they negotiated about $ 3,840 with a low $ 3,820.

He stressed that the precious metal came $ 100 from the $ 4,000 signal and warned that the next moves would depend on developments around the closure of the US government.

“If the market closes over $ 3,800, we can wait for a recovery in a few days,” Agar said. “But if it falls down, further pressure may follow.”

Spot Gold decreased about 1% to $ 3,828.75 per ounce by 11:35 am Et (1535 GMT). The US Gold Future for December surrender decreased by 1.1% to $ 3,853.20.

Logan said the US Central Bank has properly reached some insurance against any abrupt deterioration of the labor market by cutting its interest rates last month, but must be “careful” with further cuts.
