Whatever the dynamic between Sarah Paulson and Kim Kardashian Everything is Fair characters, the duo had a lot of fun while shooting the show.
During one particularly intense scene, Paulson accidentally spat something in the SKIMS founder’s face.
“I’ve had to say some really outrageous things to Kim’s face. I once spat a potato chip at her.” Chestnut said the actress People. “I was in her face screaming and she was like, ‘Bing!’ I saw it go into her eye.”
“I had the best, I really did,” she said of filming Ryan Murphy’s show. “I like working in a high-stakes environment, and I don’t mean the set environment but the stage environment.”
However, Paulson and Kardashian handled the tension with clean banter. Their co-stars Glenn Close, Nessie Nash-Bets, Naomi Watts and Teyana Taylor revealed that the duo often shared a laugh on set.
“Sarah and Kim sometimes couldn’t look at each other without laughing,” Close said.
Nash-Betts shouted, saying: “Once the laughing started, we all knew it was going to be at least 30 minutes before we even started.”
The series follows a group of female lawyers who left a male-dominated firm to open their own practice. They help women who seek justice while dealing with the ups and downs of personal relationships.
Kim explained the show’s plot, saying, “The theme every week is that we have a story of a woman going through an unfortunate situation and we’re there to help her,” Kardashian said. “I think the moral of this story for us as women is even if you’re having a hard time, even if you don’t believe in yourself at the time, your lawyers are there, your girls are there to pick you up and help you believe in yourself again.”
Everything is Fair begins streaming on Hulu on November 4.
