Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson, who has not found a place in India’s Trophy Champions team, has undergone finger surgery.
However, the player is likely to be appropriate in time for the upcoming version of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Samson was injured during the fifth and final ODI against England earlier this month, as Pacer Jofra Archer’s surrender hit him in his right -wing index.
After his dismissal, Samson was replaced by Dhruv Jurel in the second entries.
According to an ESPNCRICINFO report, Samson is expected to take a month to recover after surgery and will be appropriate in time to take part in IPL 2025.
“It is understood that Samson will take about a month to recover after surgery on Tuesday. This gives him enough time to be ready for the IPL, which will start on the weekend of March 21-22-23,” The report said.
The injury had also ruled Samson from the quarter -finals of Ranji Trophy of Kerala against Jammos and Kashmir.
The project, however, had a series to forget England, as it managed to manage just 51 trips to the five-game competition that India won 4-1.
Former India Cricket Ravicandran Ashwin and Kris Srikkanth criticize Samson after his broadcast against England.
“(Will you force you to think) The bowling bowler in a certain way and I get layoffs like that, is the bowling well or I have a gap? Will I be able to adapt? Is it difficult,” Ashwin explained.
“Sanju Samson seems to have lost the bus for the fifth time, coming out the same way.
He tries to say, “No, no, I’ll play this plan.” Is it going on a trip I or is it racing? I’m not sure, “Srikkanth said in a report by Inside Sport.
Samson will now see in action during IPL 2025, which is expected to begin on March 23, according to BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla.
