Dubai: Pakistan’s Captain Salman Ali Agha expressed confidence in his side’s ability to challenge any team after sealing a position at the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025.

The qualifications came after a tense day of uncertainty, and Pakistan eventually entered the stadium at the Dubai international stadium for the last group’s last match against the United Arab Emirates.

They put a strong round performance to beat the UAE with 41 routes and secure their point in the next round of the eight team.

Place the bat first, the green shirts needed a cell from the number nine beat, Shaheen Shah Afridi, after half a century of Fakhar Zaman, to accumulate a decent 146/9 set at 20 Overs.

Following Zaman’s dismissal in the 14th, Pakistan lost wickets at a worrying pace and slipped into 110/7 in 16.5 overs until Shaheen had to recover with only 29 deliveries with the help of three and two and two.

Although the overall was finally proved sufficient to defend their bowlers, Pakistan’s Captain Aga repeated their bats with the bat, especially in the middle overs.

The All-Rounder claimed that they do not yet have bats at the best possible, with which they can violate the 170-ordered barrier regardless of the opposition.

“We have done the job, but we still have to improve our middle class hit. This was a concern and something we need to work,” AGHA said.

“Apart from that, we did a good job. We haven’t hit the best yet … We still find our way for 150. If we play well in the middle overs, we can push it to 170 regardless of the opposition,” he added.

AGHA then praised the Pacer of the left arm Shaheen for his holdings and was credited to the top Batter Saim Ayub series to pinch at critical stages of the game with the ball.

“Shaheen’s batting has improved a lot-it’s already big with the ball.

When asked about the Super Four Challenge, Agha expressed the readiness of his team, stating that they could compete with any opposition.

“We are ready for any challenge and if we continue to play the way we have been in the last four months. We will be good against any side.”
