Karachi:
Pakistani Rupia continued its rise to the US dollar on Tuesday, marking its 18th straight market profit between banks.
At the closure, the local currency was installed on 281.72 per dollar, up to three Paisa or 0.01%, compared to Monday’s closure on 281.75, according to data from the Pakistani State Bank (SBP). Since August 6, 2025, Rupia is estimated by a cumulative 95 Paisa against the green, reflecting the improved feeling in the foreign exchange market.
Analysts of Ismail IQBal Securities noted that while Rupia has reached higher on a daily basis, its broader performance remains mixed. “At the end of the commercial meeting, the PKR is estimated at a 0.01% daily day against Greenback to settle at 281.72, while it has been depreciated 1.13% in the calendar year to date and is estimated at 0.73% in the financial year to date,” Brokerage said.
In addition, SBP has, with immediate effect, annulment the authorization/permission of the Stock Exchange Company, due to serious violations of the Central Bank regulatory guidelines.
“The exchange company, including its headquarters and its shops, can no longer undertake any kind of business related to exchange rates,” a SBP statement said.
Meanwhile, gold prices in Pakistan remained stable on Tuesday, the day after the introduction of fresh files, even when the international market has reached new high expectations to reduce US federal bookings and increased policy and economic uncertainty.
According to the Union All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers (Apsgja), the price of gold per Tola was unchanged in RS370,700, while the rate for 10 grams was also stable in RS317,815. On the international market, gold rose more than 1% to exceed $ 3,500 per Uglia signal for the first time, reaching $ 3,514 during the meeting. Later it stabilized about $ 3,480 (with a locally applied $ 20 premium), according to Apsgja data.
Adnan agar interactive manager said Gold had steadily broken the high level of $ 3,500, while the low day was at $ 3,470. “The market was still up and showing no sign of correction. Many important US financial data, including monthly employment numbers, are due this week, until then, gold may remain stable or face a mild correction,” he explained. Agar added that the guessing was growing that the Fed would reduce interest rates in the coming weeks, which enhanced demand for assets such as gold.
