Ruby Franke, a family and parenting vlogger from Utah, along with her husband Kevin Franke and six children, showcased a perfect family on her now-defunct YouTube channel “8 Passengers.”
However, a year after her marriage to Kevin collapsed, a shocking story of Ruby’s abuse of her two youngest children emerged.
In a video recently released by police of Kevin after his wife was arrested for child abuse, he made some shocking revelations about his wife’s abusive treatment of their two youngest children.
According ABC NewsKevin was interviewed for about 45 minutes by investigators at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on August 30, 2023, the day his wife was arrested for child abuse.
Ruby’s arrest came shortly after police were told that her youngest son had run away from the home of her partner and marriage counselor Jody Hildebrandt.
According to the report, the 12-year-old boy had climbed out of a window and knocked on a neighbor’s door to ask for food and water.
Cops initially considered Kevin a suspect, but body camera footage shows him revealing his whereabouts while his ex-wife and Hildebrand were abusing his children?
Kevin told investigators that his wife asked him to leave their home and have no contact with any of their children in July 2022. He said this was because of his own, “addictions” and the help he needed in films for adults.
In the video, Kevin appears upset and frustrated as investigators describe his children’s conditions and evidence of abuse.
With no evidence linking him to the case, he was cleared as a suspect.
Ruby and Hildebrand were sentenced to one to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to four counts of second-degree aggravated child abuse in December.
