- OGRA increases RLNG values for SSGCL, SNGPL.
- RLNG transmission values rise by 2.36%.
- The notification states that the distribution rate increased by 2.38%.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) raised the prices of refurbished liquefied natural gas (RLNG) to 2.63% for September 2025, attributing adjustment to higher terminal categories, according to the news.
According to a notice issued on Thursday, revised interest rates will apply to both Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL).
The government has recently raised the ban on new domestic gas connections, which will now be provided with this imported gas instead of local gas. Their accounts will also range with monthly RLNG price adjustments.
According to the OGRA notice, the SNGPL network, the RLNG transmission price increased by 2.36% to $ 11,2365 per million British thermal units (MMBTU), while the distribution rate increased by $ 2.38% to $ 12,0127 per MMBTU compared to August. In the SSGCL system, both broadcasting and distribution prices increased by 2.63% to $ 9,8619 and $ 11,0105 per Mmbtu, respectively.
Updated prices include all relevant expenses, such as terminal fees, transmission losses, port handling and the Pakistani State Oil (PSO) margin. Weighted average sales prices are based on eight LNG loads received by PSO in September.
According to its two long -term offerings with Qatar, PSO buys LNG on slopes 13.37% and 10.2% of crude Brent prices. Of the eight loads delivered, four were supplied with the highest percentage and the other four to the lower, Ogra said.
The regulatory authority added that prices were adapted under the guidelines of government policy, reflecting global LNG market movements, exchange rates and the cost of local reconstruction and delivery infrastructure.
