St. Petersburg: President Vladimir Putin refused to speak of claims that Israel and the United States can try to kill Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
He said that the Iranian people are standing by their leaders in Tehran.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has openly thought that Israel’s military attacks could lead to a change of regime in Iran, while US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the US knew where Khamenei was “hiding”, but that Washington would not be “hiding”.
Asked what his reaction would be if Israel killed Losmen with the help of the United States, Putin said: “I don’t even want to discuss this opportunity.
When he was pressured, Putin acknowledged that he had heard the observations about Khamenei’s murder, but reiterated that he did not want to discuss them.
“We see that today in Iran, with all the complexity of the internal political processes taking place there … that there is a unification of society throughout the country’s political leadership,” Putin told the highest news agency news agency in the northern Russian city of St. Petersburg.
Putin said that all sides should seek ways to end hostilities in a way that secures both Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear power and Israel’s right to the Jewish state’s unconditional security.
Putin was talking as Trump kept people guessing whether the US would participate in Israel’s bombing for Iranian nuclear nuclear and spaces, while residents of Iran’s capital fell outside the city on the sixth day of air attack.
He said he had contacted both Trump and Netanyahu, and that Moscow had shared her ideas for resolving the conflict, while ensuring Iran’s continued access to urban nuclear energy.
Iranian nuclear facilities
Asked about the prospect of changing the regime in Iran, Putin said that before he started such a course, he must be evaluated if the main goal was really achieved.
He added that the enrichment facilities of Iran’s underground uranium remained untouched.
“These underground factories are there, nothing has happened to them,” Putin said.
“It seems to me that it would be right for everyone to look for ways to end hostilities and find trails for all parts of this conflict to reach an agreement,” he said. “In my opinion, in general, such a solution can be found.”
Asked if Russia was willing to provide Iran modern weapons to defend Israeli strikes, Putin said that the Treaty of Strategic Corporate Relationship signed with Tehran in January did not include military cooperation and Iran had not included no military cooperation.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Rambkov said Wednesday on Wednesday that Moscow is urging the United States not to hit Iran, warning that the action would radically destabilize the Middle East.
A spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry also warned that Israeli strikes at Iran’s nuclear facilities were in danger of causing nuclear disaster.
Putin said Israel had assured Moscow that Russian experts helping to build two additional reactors at the Bushehr Nuclear Factory in Iran would not be harmed by any air strike.
He added that Moscow had “a very good relationship with Iran” and that Russia could protect Iran’s interests in the field of nuclear energy.
Russia has offered to get rich uranium from Iran and supply nuclear fuels for the urban energy program.
“It is possible to ensure that Iran’s interests in the field of peaceful nuclear power and at the same time address Israel’s concerns about his safety,” Putin said. “We described them (our ideas) to our partners from the US, Israel and Iran.”
