United States First Lady Jill Biden spoke for only 14 minutes Saturday on the second leg of her “Women for Biden-Harris” tour in Tuscon, Arizona, but it was enough time for pro-Palestinian supporters to interrupt her remarks four separate times. .

“It’s genocide, Jill!” shouted one of the four protesters as he was forcibly escorted out of the venue by security, NBC News mentionted.

The first lady discussed women’s issues, including abortion rights that could be on the Arizona ballot in November.

“Extremist Republicans led by Donald Trump are passing laws that prevent women from getting the health care they need, including IVF,” Jill said.

However, the first protester interrupted her 13 seconds into her speech, followed by the second less than two minutes later.

As she gathered steam in her speech, the third protester, Kalyana Venet, an activist with the Palestine Solidarity Alliance of Arizona, called out.

The 34-year-old activist was unimpressed by the first lady’s comments about women.

“When you talk about women’s issues, when you talk about women in the office, and women in Gaza are having C-sections without anesthesia, watching their children come out of the rubble, starving to death … it’s an absolute disgrace.” said Venet.

The first lady’s second trip to Tucson, home to the University of Arizona, may have been bold, as young voters like Venet are particularly unhappy with her husband, President Joe Biden’s handling of the war, according to a poll .

“He should have seen it coming,” Venet said.

The activist voted for Biden in 2020, a decision she now says she is “very ashamed of.”

President Biden’s team has shifted to smaller events and kept locations closed to avoid public embarrassment.

The White House has announced upcoming states for Biden’s Women for Biden-Harris tour, but has not revealed specific locations.
