Prince William, Kate Middleton keep Diana tradition alive with their own children

Prince William, Kate Middleton keep Diana tradition alive with their own children

Prince William and Princess Kate are giving their children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, as normal a childhood as possible, heavily inspired by Princess Diana’s ideology.

The Prince and Princess of Wales emphasize the importance of kindness and educate their children about the less privileged, an approach Diana also took.

said royal expert Duncan Larcombe OK!: “They can never be normal and nothing will ever be truly normal in their lives – how can a child have a normal upbringing when they are told at the age of six that they are going to be King?”

“But the things they can control, they do, especially in terms of what their children are exposed to and what events they take them to. The way William and Kate are raising their children is very much based on the Middleton model.”

Royal expert Katie Nicholl agreed, saying: “They are doing absolutely humble work. They are much more common than many realize – children even have to do chores in exchange for their pocket money. It’s about them wanting to have a normal, happy, ordinary family home and lifestyle, which, at Adelaide Cottage, they really achieve.”

Prince William, who is passionate about ending homelessness and launched the Homewards project with that aim, has previously revealed that his mission was born out of the influence of his late mum Princess Diana. He shares this purpose with his children, making them reflect on the homeless people they see on their journey to and from school.

He said earlier this year: “My mother introduced me to the cause of homelessness from a very young age and I’m so glad she did. I think when I can balance it with their school, they will definitely be exposed to it. In the school course, we talk about what we see. When we were in London, driving back and forth, we would regularly see people sitting outside supermarkets and talk about it.’

“I would say to the kids, ‘Why are they there?’ What’s going on?’ I think it’s in all of our interests, it’s the right thing to do, to expose children, at the right stage, to the right dialogue, so they have an understanding,” added Prince William.
