Prince William, Kate Middleton are parents of three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis

Prince William and Kate Middleton refused to follow royal practices for years to spend more time with their children.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have vowed never to be ‘absentee parents’ to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, a royal expert has revealed.
William and Kate have come under fire in the past for neglecting their royal responsibilities after appearing on smaller public engagements in 2023, most notably the Princess of Wales.
Speaking on the matter, royal author Gareth Russell said GB News that the royal couple “prioritises their children”.

“We can defend the couple as this is what it looks like when members of the royal family prioritize their children and their home lives,” he said.
“The reason it seems so low is that previous generations of royals didn’t do this, so they are often painted by their children and many of their subjects as absent parents.
“They weren’t there enough for their children,” added the expert, “there inevitably has to be a compromise on that. You can either have members of the royal family committing to as many engagements as the Queen Mother or the Queen or Prince Philip did.’
“But the result of this is that they will not spend as much time every day with their children.
“Or you have members of the royal family like Prince William and Catherine, who do fewer public engagements when they have very young children.
“So you either have royals who continue to work as publicly and as often as they did before, or you have royals who are perhaps raising happier families.”
