Vatican City: The Vatican on Monday expressed optimism about improving Pope Francis’ health, increasing hopes for his early rejection from the hospital, as the 88 -year -old Ponif continues to recover steadily from the pneumonia.

The leader of the Catholics of the world was accepted at the Gemelli Hospital in Rome on February 14 with bronchitis, which was pneumoned in both lungs.

Argentina suffered a series of respiratory crises that raised worldwide concern about his life, most recently on March 3.

But after a week of steady improvements, the Holy See said Monday night that his prognosis was no longer considered “reservations” or uncertain.

“The clinical conditions of the St. Father are still stable,” he said in a statement.

“The improvements recorded in the previous days have been further consolidated, as confirmed by blood tests and clinical objectivity and good response to pharmacological therapy.

“For these reasons, doctors have decided today to raise their cautious prognosis.”

He added that “given the complexity of the clinical picture of the Pope and the severe infection that exists at the time of hospitalization, it will still be necessary to continue the pharmacological treatment in a hospital environment for several more days.”

This suggests that once this treatment is completed, it should return home.

A Vatican source had earlier on Monday said it was “too early to talk about his return to Santa Martha”, the hostel in the tiny city of the city where the Pope lives.

The same source late Monday also expressed attention, saying that Francis still had pneumonia and the clinical picture remained “complicated, even if there is no imminent danger” in his life.

Like my father

Francis spent Monday making natural and respiratory treatment in the 10th floor suite at Gemelli Hospital, the Vatican said.

Like the previous mornings, it has also changed from the oxygen mask it uses at night in a tube-a plastic tube entering the nostrils-offering high flow oxygen, he said.

The leader of the nearly 1.4 billion Catholics in the world is also working after the news where possible – including fatal floods that have hit his hometown of Argentina.

Francis “is close to the people of the Bahia Blanca area in thought and prayer,” the Vatican said on Monday, referring to the city of the port where 16 people died.

As on Sunday, the Pope also followed prayers and meditations that took place Monday in the Vatican via video, although while he could see the participants, they could not see the Pope.

Pilgrims around the world have been praying for the Pope since he was hospitalized, from Iraq to the home of Argentina.

On Sunday night there was a special service in the largest metropolis of Myanmar.

“I feel sad as my father is since he was sick,” Francis of Htun, the Rector of the Cathedral of St. Maria, told AFP.

‘Responsibility of care’

The Pope has suffered a series of health issues in recent years, from colon surgery in 2021 in a hernia 2023, but this is the longest and most serious stay in his Papism Hospital.

During the previous stays, he appeared on the Gemelli balcony for Angelus’s weekly prayer, but during this hospitalization he has lost it four times in a row.

Instead, he published a written Angelus prayer last Sunday, in which he thanked his doctors.

“I also experience the service of the service and the tenderness of care, especially by doctors and health care workers, whom I thank from the bottom of my heart,” he said.

Francis has not seen in person since he was accepted, although he was released a message without breathing on Thursday, thanking people for their prayers.

The listening by the Pope, as weak as it sounded, was welcomed by a sign of hope by some believers. Others, however, said they had brought home how long it could get his recovery.
