The director of Pakistan’s USman Wahla Cricket, the USman Wahla international has been suspended after failing to send the letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC), which was revealed on Monday.
Wahla was removed from his position after failing to promote an official letter immediately on the Cup handshake dispute, which caused a heated debate throughout the cricket world.
Sources added that the delay in the response caused frustration to the PCB leadership, eventually leading to his suspension.
The decision comes after the official PCB complaint to the ICC and the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), demanding the removal of the referee Andy Pycroft from the continuing Asian Cup 2025.

It follows the escalation of tensions after Pakistan’s high profile against India in Dubai, where India secured a seven wicket victory.
The controversy emerged from the echo, where both captains failed the traditional handshake – an omission ordered by Pycroft.
In a series of publication on X, PCB president Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the current chairman of the Cricket Council (ACC), expressed the anger of the actions of the Indian team that has the “lack of sports”.
“The PCB filed a complaint with the ICC about the referee’s referee’s breach of the ICC Code and MCC laws.
Naqvi, in another position, said: “There is nothing more important to me than my country’s honor and prestige.”
In his letter, PCB argued that the referee’s decision undermined Cricket’s spirit and violated MCC’s long -term laws.
“They are not exchanged handshakes before or after the race, which is an immediate violation of the traditions of the game,” the letter said. He also claimed that Pycroft “failed to fulfill his responsibilities as a referee” and violated the ICC Code of Conduct.
Tensions increased further after India’s victory on Sunday. While the Indian players celebrated and left in the dressing room, they did not participate in the usual handshake with the Pakistani team, which had been waiting.
The Snub left Pakistan’s players visibly frustrated, leading Governor Salman Ali Agha to boycott the presentation ceremony after the race in protest.
The controversy was intensified when PCB’s media manager Naveed Akram Cheema raised the issue with Tournament Manager Andrew Russell.
Initially, Russell claimed that the instructions had been issued by the Indian Cricket Board of Directors, but later clarified that the directive had come to the Indian government.
