Worcester: Pakistan’s budding student, Khurram Shahzad, is going to participate in the Worcestershire County Cricket Club in July for the rest of the county. The right arm will be available to play in all three forms for pears by the end of this season.

From Punjab’s Mandi Bahuddin, 25-year-old Khurram is often compared to South Africa’s Great Dalen due to the resemblance to the Bowling Action and his ability to swing the ball-he has made his 2023 test debut and so far he has asked for 20 wickers in six tests, 90 against Bangladesh.

The former Pakistani Captain Azhar Ali has reportedly played a central role in the signature. Azhar Ali himself played for the Worcestershire CCC in the 2022 & 2023 seasons, where he was for a while for a while and helped to help the club sign a cricket from Pakistan. Previously, the Pakistani USAMA MIR performer was also signed by the Worcestershire CCC for Azhar’s recommendations.

In a statement published by the club, coach Alan Richardson welcomed the signature, praising Shahzad’s ability and international experience.

“Khurram is a fantastic signature for us,” Richardson said. “His ability to swing the ball and bowl consistently over 80mph adds depth to our bowling attack. Equally important, his presence will be invaluable for the development of our newest bowlers.”

Khurram Shahzad recently introduced the Super League (PSL) for Quetta Gladiators, helping them reach the final. In 8 gladiators at the PSL Khurram grabbed 12 wickets with an impressive average of 19.5 and a financial share of over 8.

Its flexibility will be vital to Worcestershire, as it is going to present not only in the Prefecture Championship but also in the Metro Bank One Day Cup and Vitality T20 Blast.

Speaking about the move, Shahzad expressed his enthusiasm: “Participation in a club like Worcestershire is a huge honor. I always wanted to play in England and this is a great opportunity to develop my game and help the team have a strong finish in the season.”

Shahzad will be available for selection from July 4, when Rapids take Yorkshire at Headingley at Vitality T20 Blast.
