Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel will take full control of the Gaza Strip, deepening the fears of a prolonged conflict in the besieged territory.
In a video posted on social media on Monday, Netanyahu said that Israel “would not leave” until it records “the whole lane territory”, adding that ongoing military operations would continue with intensity.
“The battles are intense and we make progress,” Netanyahu said in a statement shared on X, formerly Twitter. “But in order to succeed, we must act in a way that cannot be stopped.”
Observations follow an escalation in Israeli military operations, which have killed at least 103 people in fresh airways across the Gaza. The largest hospital in northern Gaza was also forced to close due to damage and exhaustion of resources.
Israel has also called tens of thousands of backup as part of what seems to be a campaign that is aimed not only at Hamas’ pressure to agree with limited ceasefire but also to maintain the long -term control of the enclave
In addition, Israel will allow a limited amount of food in Gaza for the first time in 10 weeks, the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, after increasing international pressure and increasing fears of hunger among the 2.1 million people trapped in biscuit.
The announcement came as Israel launched a new military attack, named Gideon’s Chariot modeWith the participation of those Israeli defensive forces described as “extensive ground companies” throughout the Gaza Strip.
Israel has maintained a total exclusion in Gaza in the last 10 weeks, stopping all food, fuel and medicines. Humanities have repeatedly warned of an impending hunger, with unpleasant images that emerge strictly malnourished children.
Israeli strikes on Sunday are aiming for several areas across the Gaza, including Khan Younis in the south, and Beit Lahia and Jabalia in the north. The Hamas Health Ministry said at least 67 people were killed and 361 were injured in the last 24 hours.
Gaza’s Political Defense Service said 22 people were killed in an overnight strike at Al-Mawasi, a site previously highlighted as a “safe zone”. Over 100 others were reported injured.
Israel Air Strikes Cripple Gaza Hospitals
Hospitals continue to bear the burden of the ongoing attack. According to health officials, three public hospitals in northern Gaza are now out of service.
Medical staff at Indonesia Hospital in Beit Lahia reported that IDF tanks shot at the facility late Sunday night. At that time, 55 people were in, including four doctors, eight nurses and dozens of patients who were unable to move.
Staff told the BBC that there was no prior warning or evacuation order. They denied that there were military targets in the hospital or near the hospital.
About an hour after the bombing began, IDF troops reported from the area.
Israel said its forces aimed at Hamas’s infrastructure near the hospital and refused to attack deliberately medical centers.
Elsewhere in the north, the director of Al-AWDA Hospital, Mohammed Salha, said a bombing near its establishment caused significant damage. Al-AWDA depends on the Indonesian Hospital for oxygen supplies and critical care.
Meanwhile, in the southern city of Khan Younis, two major hospitals – the Nasser Medical Complex and the European Hospital – were hit in previous strikes.
Netanyahu’s office said the Israeli negotiators were exhausted “every opportunity” to secure an agreement. Israel insists that any agreement should include the release of hostages, the exile of Hamas leaders and the complete disarmament to Gaza.
Israel’s War in Gaza
The Israeli army has sought a violent attack on Gaza since October 2023, killing more than 53,000 Palestinians, most of which women and children.
The International Criminal Court issued the arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its enclave war.
