Nepal’s historical victory

Nepal celebrated their stunning victory over the western Indians on Sunday, their first victory in an international cricket match against a test nation.

Nepal won the West Indies with 19 runs on the first T20 International of a series of three matches in Sharjah on Saturday.

Victory marks Nepal’s first triumph over the two -time T20 World Cup champions and represents an important milestone for the growing cricket nation.

“It is a historic victory for us and helps improve the attitude of our players to the world of Cricket,” Chatur Bahadur Chand, president of the Nepal Union of Nepal, told AFP.
