Navin Waqar talks heart, privacy, reinventing the industry and more

In a frank and introspective discussion of the Adnan Faisal PodcastNavin Waqar delved into the intricacies of her personal and professional life, offering fans a rare glimpse into her thoughts and experiences.

Waqar began by sharing a deep insight into her emotional journey, expressing how her heartbreaks have shaped her. She revealed, My heart was terribly broken, and when I put it back together, I got a lot out of it. Like, don’t trust everyone blindly…I don’t have it in me to handle tragedy. I’m a very sensitive person.”

He continued, “If I fight with my boyfriend, I feel like my world is ending, until we’re friends again… I can’t sleep, I have nightmares and I have this fear: what if I lose this person MashAllah, I’m blessed enough to have the kind of people in my life whose absence I simply cannot imagine. When you mend your heart after a breakup, you take things out of it, like trust. you have to prove yourself to me… Anyone can use words, words don’t work anymore.’

Waqar also touched on the evolving dynamics of relationships in today’s technology-driven world. He emphasized the importance of authenticity, warning against the illusions presented on social media. “Our lives have become so technological. What you see on the screen or on Instagram, it’s not true… Leave filters, when people present themselves as wonderful, you don’t know what a person is like in real life.”

Opening up about her views on marriage, Waqar emphasized the importance of character, stating: “Is he a good person or not?” She expressed concern about the superficial nature of modern relationships and the challenge of discerning authenticity in a digital age.

The actor also admitted, “I’m not like jazz bati Like I used to be.” Additionally, she referred to how she’s “a bit prescient,” stating, “I’m superstitious about work, too. Until a project is finished, I don’t discuss it.” He added, “I believe there are many people in this world who will not share in your happiness. There are very few people who are truly happy for you, praying for you, remembering you in their prayers, but not everyone is happy for you.”

Discussing her single status, Waqar shared her contentment with being a self-proclaimed recluse. “My friends tease me and say I can only find someone if I leave my house. I don’t leave the house. I’m a recluse and I love it…Stay where you’re happy,” she quipped. While acknowledging her single status, Waqar emphasized her belief in destiny and divine timing. “I believe that if something is written in your destiny, it will find you, one way or another. I don’t plan on finding it. If God has written someone in my destiny, it will happen…I” look, but don’t I am looking”.

Despite her public persona, Waqar has revealed her preference for privacy, especially when it comes to her personal life. “I like my privacy. I post very little about things like work, fitness or pets. I think it’s good to deal with people with limited capacity. I don’t like sharing where I go and everyone I meet,” she revealed.

The actress also referred to her previous role as Sara Humsafar, admiring the lasting recall value despite the passage of time. “People still call me Sarah. MashAllah, the recall value, until now, after all these years…People loved to hate her and then felt really bad for her,” she recalled.

On a more reflective note, Waqar expressed her concerns about the need for reinvention in the entertainment industry. “I don’t want to disappoint the industry I’m in, but we have to reinvent ourselves… If we’re still showing that you’re growing up to marry your cousin and have no other ambitions in life, we’re doing something wrong.”

When the conversation turned to personal matters, especially divorce and why it’s not talked about, Waqar displayed a cautious approach. “People are saying everything now, [I don’t]. It’s my personal space and my personal life…I’ve learned from my parents to keep home matters inside the house. When it comes out, it changes…It’s like Chinese whispers. Who will you silence? Can not. So keep your mouth shut.”

He continued, “Deal with it the way you would deal with any tragedy. Acknowledge it, absorb it, then walk away. I don’t want to talk about it because a lot of people use it as a means to get the limelight. So I didn’t want that kind of limelight. I always wanted the spotlight to be on my work.” Waqar added: “If something happens in life that you regret, it teaches you a lesson.”
