In the 35th National Games, the Softball Women’s event will take place on May 3 at the KMC sports band football on Kashmir Street. The teams will arrive on May 1st, the managers’ meeting is scheduled for May 2 and the final will take place on May 7.
Teams from the Pakistani army, Pakistani Wapda, Pakistan Police, Higher Education Committee, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Sindh have been invited to participate.
A special meeting on the organizational affairs of the event was chaired by the president of the Pakistani Softball Federation, ASIF AZEEM. During the meeting, the names of the Committee of Organization and Administration were completed through mutual consultation.
The Secretary General of the Federation, Naseem Khan, was appointed Chairman of the Softball Organizing Committee. The president of the Softball Sindh Union, Professor Dr. Farhan Essa, will serve as Deputy President, while SSA Muhammad Zeeshan Merchant was named as an organizational secretary. Ayesha Leena will serve as an event coordinator and Tariq Pasha was appointed a leader.
On the occasion, the president of the Federation Asif Azem said that the Pakistan Olympic Union, the Sindh Government Athletic Department and the Sindh Olympic Union work tirelessly to ensure the successful organization of the 35th National Games in Karachi.
He added that Poa Arif Saeed and Sindh Minister of Sports Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Khan Mahar are committed to providing all the necessary infrastructure and facilities to athletes so that they can perform the best.
Dr. Farhan Essa, president of the Sindh Softball Association, said the hosting of national races is a honor for Sindh and through this event, the message of “healthy athletes, powerful Pakistan” will spread throughout the country.
