Cristiano Ronaldo’s prowess on the pitch for years has been a concern for other teams as well due to the star player’s huge impact on the game.

However, it appears that the Ronaldo phenomenon is not limited to the football pitch as the owner of YouTube’s most subscribed channel, Jimmy Donaldson, known as ‘Mr Beast’, appears to be worried about the Portuguese footballer’s rise on the video sharing platform.

Seemingly unconcerned about losing his crown, Mr Beast said he won’t lose the top spot without a fight, while hinting at joining hands with Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi — heavily compared to Ronaldo as arguably the greatest player of all time (GOAT).

“I’m not going down without a fight. I mean Messi, let’s go! If Messi is the only thing standing between Ronaldo getting past me […] I mean, if I had to do a collaboration with Messi,” YouTube said speaking on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast.

“I broke the world record for most participants in a month and two months later Ronaldo comes [….] If there was anyone who would pass me, it would be Ronaldo,” he remarked.

Mr Beast’s comments come as the Al-Nassr striker launched his YouTube channel in August and has since gained 63.9 million subscribers to Mr Beast’s 319 million.

The footballer has also expressed his desire to outdo the American YouTuber.

“Mr. Beast on YouTube? In two years, let’s try to beat him,” Ronaldo casually told reporters during a media briefing ahead of Portugal’s Nations League match with Croatia last month.

Notably, the Portuguese footballer’s YouTube channel ‘UR·Cristiano’ had amassed 1.69 million subscribers within hours and the 39-year-old soon received the golden Play button just a day after the channel’s launch.

He is also the fastest person to reach one million subscribers on the world’s largest video sharing platform.

The achievement was recognized by Guinness World Records (GWR), which recognized star Al Nassr’s YouTube channel as one with the most subscribers gained in 24 hours.

In addition, Ronaldo also broke the record for the fastest 10 million subscribers.
