Miley Cyrus’ mother, Tish Cyrus, recalled a serious holiday incident involving her Grammy-winning daughter.
THE Flower singer, who manages to take care of the day-to-day running of the household, seemingly lacking an important everyday life skill.
The Cyrus family matriarch shared a scary story about Miley during a Q&A session from her podcast Sorry, we’re Cyruswhich she co-hosts with her oldest daughter Brandi Cyrus, after a fan submitted the question, “Who in the family shouldn’t be allowed near the kitchen during the holidays because of a catastrophic cooking memory?”
“That would be Miley,” Tish said, recalling the time the Grammy winner cut his finger in a cooking incident.
While it’s unclear how old Miley was at the time, Tish said she came home with a “fancy” hand mixer to make herself some cauliflower mashed potatoes.
“So she went in, put it in a pot, turned on her mixer…literally, zzzz!” he said imitating the sound of the mixer. “Somehow, she had her finger and she literally almost cut her whole finger off.”
THE Wrecking ball The crooner’s mother, sharing the aftermath of using the mixer, said blood was everywhere.
“I mean, everywhere,” he emphasized. She rushed her daughter to the emergency room, where doctors “had to stitch it back up.”
He described the whole family looking “rough” after hours in the kitchen, which his mum Tish found difficult to deal with as she is someone who “wants you to look great at all times”.
While Miley struggles a lot in the kitchen, the pop star is unstoppable in her creative projects and award-winning performances.
It is currently preparing to celebrate its 20th anniversary Hannah Montana in March 2026 and is shortlisted for the 2026 Oscar for Best Original Soundtrack by Avatar: Fire and Ashes.
