Meghan Markle has reportedly been called out for her suicidal thoughts in a recent interview.
The Duchess of Sussex, who admits she has not revealed the depth of her emotional trauma since her time with the royal family, received a mocking response from a royal expert.
Meghan revealed: “I think when you’ve been through any level of pain or trauma, I think part of our healing journey, certainly part of mine, is to be able to be really open about it. And I haven’t really scratched the surface of it stands out in my experience, but I don’t think I’d ever want anyone else to feel that way.”
Speaking about the Duchess’s confession, royal expert and historian Dr Tessa Dunlop tells the Mirror: ‘As the British summer erupted in angry protests, across the pond, the New Model Royals sat cool in Santa Barbara, cross-legged, eyes forward, the epitome of sympathy.
Cue Harry and Meghan doing what royals do best, promoting their latest initiative: a Parents’ Network for a new kind of horror, children losing their lives to insidious forces online. Drawing from the book of the New Model Royals on pain, CBS anchor Jane Pauley pushed the couple to take their philanthropy a little further and connect their pain with those they help.
The insider then continued: “She talked about needing to be ‘really open about it’ before Meghan admitted she hadn’t ‘really scratched the surface’ of her pain. Wow. The edge of Meghan’s dark thoughts while working as a Brit princess.
“The analysis of what Megan said and her healing journey (one that she believes is so important) remains incomplete. It is clear that a session for Oprah was insufficient when it came to being ‘really open’ about her suicidal situation in in the royal family,” he noted.
