MBAPPE Madrid MBAPPE fires with Barca

BARCELONA:

Kylian Mbappe hit twice as Real Madrid came from behind to beat Leganes 3-2 on Saturday, pulling the level to points with La Liga Barcelona leaders.

The Carlo Ancelotti side won a fun game at Santiago Bernabeu to put pressure on their bitter opponents, who hosted Girona in a Catalan derby on Sunday.

Mbappe put Los Blancos in front of the penalty spot, but goals from Diego Garcia and Danny Raba sent the mini-backs before the break.

Jude Bellingham leveled for Madrid at the beginning of the second half before Mbappe hit a free kick home to claim three points for the champions.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are six away from the third place Atletico Madrid, which drew in Espanyol earlier on Saturday.

“(MBAPPE) makes a difference and we want it from him,” said Madrid coach Ancelotti.

The superstar’s support has scored him in 33 goals for the season in all matches in 44 games, tantamount to Tally Madrid Cristiano Ronaldo’s top scorer in 2009-10, his first year in the club.

“It’s very special … to have the same number of goals as Cristiano is always good,” Mbappe told Real Madrid.

“We know what it means for Real Madrid and I, we talk, give me a lot of tips. He scored a lot of goals – but we have to win trophies here.”

Anecelotti called Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo go to the bench after being in action for Brazil on Tuesday, starting with Mbappe with Brahim Diaz in attack.

Madrid took the lead after a dubious sentence was awarded when Oscar Rodriguez confuses his legs with the middle Arda Guler.

Mbappe executed a perfect Panenka to send Los Blancos ahead, though their lead only lasted a few seconds with Diego Garcia net closely.

Diaz came close to the other end, but then gave the ball away to the accumulation in his second Leganes.

Visitors worked the ball to Rodriguez on the left, which cut it back to finish Raba.

Madrid came out strongly at the beginning of the second half and Bellingham soon hit the goal of the eighth league. International England followed the scoring after Diaz’s shot was blocked on the line. Diaz hit the position and Ancelotti sent Vinicius and Rodrygo as Madrid pushed.

Eventually Mbappe won the 22nd championship of the season championship with a free kick to put Real Madrid ahead after 76 minutes.

“He was applied yesterday, he went very well and wanted to try it today,” said Ancelotti.

The French offensive trails of La Liga top scorer, Barcelona Hitman Robert Lewandowski, one.

“It was a difficult game. After the international break it is always difficult, and we know that what we should always do is win,” Mbappe added.

Atletico Madrid’s subtle Spanish title hopes to fade further with a frustrating draw in Espanyol.

Javi Puado won the Catalan side a point with a penalty after Cesar Azpilicueta put the visitors ahead in a spectacular way.

“Two points fled, two importantly,” said Jan Oblak of Atletico Jan Oblak.

“If we don’t have consistency, we can’t fight for the title.

“We don’t have it. We lose points and I think the teams behind us.”

Simeone admitted that his team was not worth the three points.

“It was a flat game in which the draw was fair,” the coach told reporters.

After a slow start, Azpilicueta threw visitors in front of the distance.

He was his first goal for three years and also his first for Atletico Madrid, but he deserved the wait as he hit a rich volleyball in the upper corner, as Antoine Griezmann’s cross was cleaned at the edge of the box.

‘Mbappe equals Ronaldo’s goal record

Ronaldo, who joined Manchester United, continued to become Real Madrid’s top scorer with 450 goals.

“It’s very special … to have the same number of goals as Cristiano is always good,” Mbappe told Real Madrid.

“We know what it means for Real Madrid and I, we talk, give me a lot of tips. He scored a lot of goals – but we have to win trophies here.”

Previously, Ancelotti suggested that Mbappe could live in Ronaldo’s heritage in Madrid, but only with a lot of hard work.

“He is doing very well, he is much more active and present in the team’s game,” Ancelotti told reporters.
