LFC Secure Milos Kerkez Signature for £ 40m left by Bournemouth, confirms David Ornstein

Liverpool has reached an agreement with Bournemouth to sign the Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez on an agreement worth about £ 40m, according to veteran sports journalist David Ornstein.

The 21 -year -old is expected to undergo medicine next week before completing a five -year move to Anfield.

The transfer, now to The Paperwork Stage, will bring to a breakout premier League for Kerkez, who started all 38 Bournemouth Championship matches in the 2024-25 campaign.

During this stretch, he contributed two goals and five assists-excellent numbers for a full back-while at the same time consolidating the best championship of the South Coast Championship.

Liverpool’s pursuit of Kerkez was first mentioned in early June after months of searching. International Hungary joined Bournemouth by AZ Alkmaar in July 2023 for a reported £ 15.5 million and was quickly established as one of the most dynamic young defenders in the league.

He has also won 23 ceilings for Hungary since he made his debut in 2022.

The move marks Liverpool’s intention to refresh their rear line, especially with a long full back Andy Robertson now 31 and shows signs of wear.

While Robertson’s leadership and experience remain valued at Anfield, Kerkez is considered a long -term successor who offers energy, sports and attacks driving on the left side.

Analysts noted Kerkez’s effectiveness in highlighting and overlapping routes, a feature of Liverpool’s wing strategic wing under former director Jürgen Klopp and continued with Arne Slot.

Although defensively develops, Kerkez’s ability to stretch opposition shapes and support transition attacks makes him a strong regular application.

In the meantime, Bournemouth appears prepared for his departure. The Association signed a left-back Adrian Truffert from Rennes this summer and Julio Soler in January, signaling a reconstruction.

The deal marks the third major signature of Liverpool’s summer, with the Dutch right-back Jeremie Frimpong and German attack-Midfielder Florian Wirtz.
