Lauren Silverman expressed nothing but gratitude as the year came to a close, revealing she’s “grateful” for her relationship with the music mogul as they head into 2026.
Despite the happy snap, the American socialite and businesswoman, 48, admitted she’s finding New Year’s “lonely and difficult” as she opted to go sober.
For the unversed, the couple is set to get married this year. However, they spent the holiday at home in Barbados and shared a poolside snap to mark the occasion.
Lauren, who recently took to Instagram, shared the snap of Simon, 66, who was shirtless in pale blue trousers.
The pair looked loved up as Lauren posed cuddling with the former The X Factor boss.
Lauren – who has already legally changed her surname to Cowell, cut a stylish figure in a plunging black swimsuit, matching sarong and a pair of chic sunglasses.
Sharing a poignant post about Simon, Lauren said: ‘Thank you for having me by my side as one year ends and another begins. Happy new year everyone. May this be an ending that leads to something beautiful.’
However, she also highlighted her struggles this time of year as she discussed how difficult it can be to be the only person who doesn’t drink at the holidays.
Lauren explained: “This is my second alcohol-free New Year’s. Sometimes such nights can feel difficult and isolating.
Especially when you’re the only one not drinking on a festive night. But it’s worth it. If you’re trying, struggling or just thinking about it – I see you. I know how you feel and you have this.
“Here comes a new year of clarity, presence, power and feeling good in your skin. One day at a time.’
Lauren celebrated the first anniversary of her sobriety journey last month as she reflected on how much her relationships and mental health have improved since giving up drinking.
