A rapid diplomatic effort to move the ceasefire on May 10, but diplomats and analysts say it remains fragile.

Pakistan and India shot the rockets on each other’s territory during weeks of tensions after a deadly attack on tourists in Indian illegal occupied jam and Kashmir accusing New Delhi in Islamabad. Pakistan refuses to participate.

Following India’s non-caused attacks, Pakistani’s armed forces began a major military action, called “Operation Bunyan -um-Marsoos” and are targeting several Indian military strikes in many areas.

The strikes, described by employees as “precise and proportionate”, took place in response to India’s ongoing aggression across the control line (LOC) and the territory of Pakistan, which the New Delhi claimed, addressed “terrorist targets”.

Pakistan destroyed its six fighter aircraft, including three Rafale, and dozens of drones. After at least 87 hours, the war between the two nuclear weapons ended on May 10th.

According to the ISPR, a total of 53 people, including 13 Armed Forces staff and 40 civilians, testified in Indian strikes during the recent military confrontation.

US President Donald Trump said after a ceasefire that was hit that the talks should take place in a third country, but no dates or sites have been announced for talks.

“These are two neighbors with a long history, but there are two neighbors who have just managed to talk to another about this previous period and we want to ensure that we are not seeing further escalation and that the ceasefire of fire,” Lammy said.

Asked about the suspension of India of the Indian water treaty, possibly compressing Pakistan’s water supply, Lammy said: “We will urge all sides to meet the obligations of the Treaty.”

Delhi said last month that he “upset” his involvement in the 1960 pact, which governs the use of the Indus River system, a move that Pakistan says he would consider an act of war if he disrupts access to water to the agricultural dependent nation.

Lammy said Britain would also continue to work with Pakistan to tackle “terrorism”, saying it is “a terrible scourge in this country and its people and of course in the region”.
