The announcement of King Charles’ surgery came just an hour after it was revealed that Kate Middleton is in hospital

King Charles announced prostate surgery within two hours of Kensington Palace revealing the news of Kate Middleton’s hospitalization to protect her “privacy”.
While the monarch’s statement contained more information about his health scare, Kate focused more on respecting her privacy.
Speaking on the matter, Dr Tessa Dunlop, royal commentator and historian said: “Buckingham Palace does not do spontaneity; releasing a statement that contained private matters about the royal’s health immediately after news of major surgery on the princess of wales’ belly was intentional. .”
“The timeline deviated from his bride’s big surgery, also the private detail about his prostate gave the public something else to think about,” he added, according to GB News.

She went on to say, “But beyond the obvious strategy, I believe there was something else at play,” adding, “By sharing a bit of the personal, Charles’ statement underscored the absence of any real detail about her condition. Kate.”
As for Kate’s surgery, the expert noted the princess’s desire to keep her personal medical details confidential and maintain a sense of normalcy for her children.
Dunlop said the King shared his own personal medical information to minimize speculation about the Princess’ health.
“The protective King might as well have said, ‘Here, you have some information about me, but keep your prying eyes away from my bride,'” he said.
“Read side by side the statements are a strong example of well-coordinated PR. Here was a modern, public royal family, but with very clear boundaries.”
