Katie Thurston becomes vulnerable in front of a large scan in a continuing cancer battle.
THE Bakellaret Alum, diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2025, talked honestly about the raw truth that revolves around the terrorism of health that is now being prepared as it prepares for a scan that will determine if its current treatment works.
Thurston believes that surviving cancer is to train the mind to seek positivity, to be brave, and with what he loves every moment of life.
“July 7th is my big check-in scan to see how medicines work with my volume,” Thurston told Instagram on July 3.
“We go home today and many times when I come back to the reality of cancer, then things are starting to hit,” Thurston explained. “When monthly scans or appointments come and go, I allow myself to really forget that I have cancer in the next 28 days.”
The star of reality shared that his journey to cancer has made the change the way she thought. “My oncologist never told me how much time I have left, and I have never asked,” he noted, “Stage 4 is a very frightening mindset at times because it is forever.”
“But there is a little bit of me who feels like a dog before he dies. He gets that, like this great push, you know,” Thurston said as he got emotional in the video. “I’m not trying to make it like a sad video. I am just honest that cancer is very much like a trained lifestyle at this point. “
Thurston completed her video, sharing that she spends her life every day to be grateful, “every night I go to bed, I’m like,” Thank you for giving me today, “she added.
