In Jay-Z’s lengthy statement in response to the child-rape allegations, the rapper vehemently denied the allegation and that the accuser wanted money.
Now, Jane Doe’s legal representation has revealed that she never asked the music mogul for money in the first place.
“Mr. Carter previously denied that he was the one who sued me and my company. He even filed his frivolous case under a pseudonym. What he fails to say in his recent statement is that my company sent his attorney a demand letter on behalf of an alleged victim, and that victim has never asked him for a dime,” said Texas attorney Tony Buzbee. TMZ.
He continued: “Instead, seek only confidential mediation. Since I sent the letter on her behalf, Mr. Carter not only sued me, but attempted to intimidate and harass me and this plaintiff. His behavior had the opposite effect. She is bold. I am very proud of her determination.”
Announcements emerged Sunday that the lawsuit accusing Diddy of raping a 13-year-old girl also named Jay-Z as a co-defendant.
In his statement, Jay-Z wrote: “My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee. What he figured was the nature of these complaints and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle,” Jay-Z said.
“No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public way. So no, I won’t give you a RED PEN!!”
He argued: “These allegations are of such a heinous nature that I implore you to file criminal charges, not civil ones!! Anyone who would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked up, don’t you agree?’
Jay-Z’s friend Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested in September of this year on charges of sex trafficking, extortion and more.
