- Now we are much closer to Pakistan: a former general American.
- Mark Kimmitt says growth should concern New Delhi.
- President Trump has a heartfelt relationship with Coas Munir, he adds.
Retired US General Brigadier Mark Kimmitt said Washington’s growing proximity to Pakistan is largely due to India’s arrogance.
Speaking about the broadcast of British journalist Piers Morgan, retired American general said President Donald Trump has created a heartfelt relationship with Field Marshal Asim Munir – a development that said it should concern New Delhi.
“India’s arrogance that appeared to President Trump is manifested in the fact that they are now much closer to Pakistan,” he said.
“Field Marshal Munir now has a dirt with President Trump who will really have to give India a pause,” Kimmitt added.
The friction between Modi and Trump increased after the US president has repeatedly talked about how he prevented a nuclear war – the claim that India rejected, insisting that the ceasefire was directly agreed between the two nations.
The tensions came to the head on a June 17 phone call with Narendra Modi, which took place after Trump abandoned Seven Cummit in Canada early and could not meet the Indian leader.
Field Marshal Munir visited the US for the last time in June, where he held a rare one-on-one meeting with Trump in the White House room.
June’s visit was held in the context of an armed conflict by Pakistan-India, during which Washington helped mediate a ceasefire after Indian strikes in Pakistan, which the new Delhi claims to be targeted by Pa (Iiojk).
Pakistan responded with the Bunyan -um-Marsoos feature, reducing multiple Indian fighter aircraft.
One day earlier, Prime Minister Modi said that New Delhi and Washington were still sharing “very positive” ties.
The Indian prime minister, in a statement of social media, expressed optimism about New Delhi’s relationship with Washington, after President Trump confirmed his personal friendship with the Indian prime minister and downgraded his previous observations on “Loss”.
“They appreciate and fully respond to President Trump’s emotions and the positive assessment of our links,” Modi wrote on X, adding that India and the United States have shared a “very positive and prospective integrated and global strategic cooperation”.
Earlier, Trump told reporters that “they will always be friends with Modi”.
“India and the United States have a special relationship. There is nothing to worry about,” Trump said, downgrading his previous observations on the “loss of India” in China.
