- Opposition parties are expanding full support to Govt.
- Meeting of the Bureau of the Minister of Defense instead of Modi.
- Congress pointed out that Modi should have joined the meeting.
Opposition parties in India extended the full support of the government and condemned the Pahalgam attack during a meeting of all tracks called upon to support the government’s support under the BJP leadership, the country said on Thursday.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said the opposition raised the issue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s absence of the critical challenge as well as the “security delay” in the incident.
However, he argued that opposition parties claimed that they would fully work with the government on this issue to provide a message that the country is united.
“It is said in a voice that any action the government is taking in the interest of the country, we are together and we will support the government. We will work together on this issue to provide a message that the country is united,” the Congress leader said.
Indian media added that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh presented the meeting instead of Modi. Kharge added that Congress pointed out that Prime Minister Modi should have joined the meeting because he had the power to make the final decision.
The attack on Tuesday claimed the lives of 26 people – including a national Nepal – and the Indian government accuses Pakistan of attacking, alleging that Islamabad has also refused and also called “false flag business”.
Despite Pakistan’s categorical refusal to role in the incident, the government, led by the Prime Minister Modi, has suspended the Treaty on Indus water and banned the entry of Pakistani nationals.
In addition to the immediate closure of the integrated Post Attari check, New Delhi also called for military, sailors and air consultants in the Pakistani High Committee to leave the country within a week while they were declared.
Recalling its own advisers, the neighboring country also announced the total power of high committees to 30 from this 55th to 1st May – which is also the deadline for Pakistanis to leave the country.
