Hal is a government defense company and more than 100 Indian companies participated in the production process, the aircraft with “indigenous content over 64 %,” he said.

“The delivery of these aircraft will begin during 2027-28 and will be completed in a period of six years,” the ministry said.

New Delhi is watching threats from multiple nations, especially neighboring Pakistan. India fought a four -day conflict in May, their worst conflict since 1999.

Both sides claimed the victory, every collapse of each other’s fighters.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said in a statement that the aircraft would “boost the preparedness of defense”.

However, these efforts were destroyed and there was no choice, but to upgrade them to “get more life from it,” he said.

India also signed a many billion dollars agreement in April to buy 26 Rafale fighters from Dassault Aviation in France. There will be 36 Rafale fighters who have already acquired.

Singh said in August that India has worked with a French company to develop and build fighter aircraft engines at home.
