Hafeez reveals cricket exchange program with Australia

In a major move towards cricket development, Pakistan Cricket (PCB) and Cricket Australia (CA) have reportedly reached an agreement to set up an exchange program to benefit the development teams of both nations.

Pakistan team manager Mohammad Hafeez, while talking to the presser after the match, revealed the details of this collective effort, aimed at enhancing the players’ skills and adaptability in different cricketing conditions.

Hafeez, revealed that discussions with the chairman and CEO of Cricket Australia resulted in an agreement to facilitate regular visits by various Pakistani teams – including Pakistan U19, Pakistan A and Pakistan Women – to Australia.

“We have a meeting with the chairman and CEO of Cricket Australia. They agreed on our exchange program because we wanted more visiting teams from Pakistan, Pakistan U19, Pakistan A and Pakistan Women to visit Australia on a regular basis and the like we can offer the same program to these teams in Pakistan. This will help all the players in the future and the deal will be signed soon.”

He further emphasized the mutual benefit of such an arrangement, stressing the necessity of acclimatizing the players to different cricketing environments.

“We need to practice more in these conditions, and they need practice in Asian conditions. And soon, you will know that this agreement has been signed,” Hafeez added.

Additionally, Mohammad Hafeez proposed a recommendation to the International Cricket Council (ICC) regarding Test match fees. He urged the ICC to implement a standardized match fee that would apply to players from all test-playing nations.

“I will suggest to the ICC that the way they promote T20 leagues around the world, approve NOCs, similarly to save the Test wicket, they should introduce a standard end of match for all boards so that all players of cricket nations tests to be able to have the same match fee”, he concluded.
