ISLAMABAD: Product exports from Gwadar Free Zone (GFZ) are going to start, playing a central role not only in the port of the port on a sustainable basis, but also raids on the international market, The news reported.
Said a senior employee of the Ministry of Maritime The news: “The Special Investment Facility Council (SIFC) also played a key role in promoting exports from the Gwadar Free Zone.”
The ECC discussed a summary submitted by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs on the export of potassium sulfate fertilizers from the port of Gwadar.
It approved the exemption for M/S Agven Private Limited, operating at the GWADAR North Free Zone to extract potassium sulfate fertilizers of up to 10,000 tonnes per year or 50PC of actual production, which is lower by December 2025.
The approval of the ECC for the extraction of potassium sulfate fertilizers is revolutionary in its nature. It will not only help to start exports from GFZ, but will also encourage other businesses to invest in the zone.
The official said SIFC’s support to coordinate the exemption from the GFZ export policy is a new direction. Export -oriented businesses will be encouraged to consider the available facilities in the port of GFZ and GWADAR.
“The decision supports the development of the Gwadar Free Zone, while ensuring the regulatory supervision through the limits of the doubles and data monitoring mechanisms,” the official said.
According to Samad Khan, Managing Director of Agven Pvt Limited, exports in 2025 will be about $ 7 million only from this factory. In the future, with higher export approval, extension to AGVEN plant and other investors coming into potassium sulfate production, exports can extend to about $ 80 million in $ 2-3 years.
The naval ministry official said other export -oriented industries, which may consider the GWADAR free zone in the future, may be related to leather processing and mineral processing.
In a question, he said AGVEN is the first production plant in the Gwadar Free Zone. Previously, two Chinese companies have exported animals and classified metal fragments in China from GFZ.
Agven’s first export will start in April. “At present, we are waiting for SO/notice of a license and expect this to be issued in April next month,” he said.
“We are interested in exporting potassium sulfate to Brazil and the UAE, so we expect the first two commands to go to these destinations. We also expect to export to Kenya,” he said.
Agven is the only industrial plant in GFZ to date. Another unit is created by a Chinese company for exporting processed animals. But, this is not yet complete.
