Gordon Ramsay has sparked another backlash amid his frequent claims of expensive but unappealing food.
This time he ran up a £19 bill for a meal dubbed a ‘motorway breakfast station’ by online critics.

Customer Silvio Tattiscone shared his frustration via X after being served a sausage, beans, a hash, a mushroom, a poached egg, two slices of bacon and a tomato.
Most users found the meal underwhelming, with one fan commenting, “Looks like a motorway service station breakfast”, while another said: “I could do better than that. £19 is a robber of the day”.
A few days earlier he had sparked backlash for his £20 “low quality” pizza after one of his restaurants posted a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram of how they make their pepperoni pizza.
Some fans were put off, commenting: “It looks like a Wetherspoons pizza”.
Another wrote, “Please stick to fish and chips. From Italy,” while a third user called them “a bit stingy on the cheese mate.”
Another shared: “From an Italian point of view… these salamis are very low quality and the pizza sauce isn’t great either.”
Some didn’t find it too alarming with one writing: “Looks great! I could eat three” and another saying their pizza “looks so delicious I can’t wait to try it”.
Ramsay, known for his rants, is no stranger to controversy as his iconic Chelsea restaurant recently asked customers to dress a certain way to dine inside.
The three-Michelin-starred venue asks visitors on its website to “avoid shorts, tracksuits and hoodies”, although there is no mention of Hell’s KitchenThe chef physically kicks them out if they don’t obey.
She says, “We want all of our guests to feel free to express their own individual style, however, we ask that guests avoid shorts, tracksuits and hoodies.”
“Smart trainers are fine. We know many of our guests like to dress smart, which we appreciate! Ultimately we want every guest to feel at home.”
