Netflix to Live Stream One of Boxing’s Biggest Showdowns Between Former Heavyweight Champion and Young Boxer

Global streaming service Netflix will live stream one of boxing’s biggest fights between YouTuber-turned-pro boxer Jake Paul and former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson on July 20. Reuters mentionted.
The seismic fight to be held at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas is expected to be monumental given the experience of Tyson, the greatest of all time compared to the 30-year-younger Paul.
With a record of 50-6 with 44 knockouts, the ace boxer will be hoping to shake off the rust as he will be 58 when the fight takes place at the 80,000-seater arena.
“Iron Mike” said it would be fun to face Paul, who is 27 and has a record of 9-1 with six knockouts.
“I’m really looking forward to getting in the ring with Jake Paul,” Tyson said in a statement.
“It’s a full circle moment that will be beyond exciting to watch as I started him on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones and now I intend to finish him.”
“He has grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ with the experience and skill of a GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) can do.”
When Tyson faced Jones in the 2020 exhibition bout that ended in a draw, the young boxer fought on the undercard.
“It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight I went viral because I knocked out Nate Robinson on the Mike Tyson undercard,” Paul said.
“Now, less than four years later, I step up to face Tyson himself to see if I have what it takes to defeat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons.”
As the boxing world prepares for a generational clash, it remains unclear whether the Paul-Tyson fight will be classified as an exhibition or professional bout.
