Florence Pugh finally spoke about the positives and negatives of working with intimacy facilitators.
For those who don’t know, Intimacy Moderators gained widespread attention after the #MeToo movement started in Hollywood in 2017. Many high-profile celebrities, like Mikey Madison and Jennifer Lawrence, have also spoken out about whether or not they wanted to work with one.
Pugh appeared in a new episode of The Louis Theroux Podcast, where she highlighted both positive and negative experiences of working with intimacy facilitators.
He explained, “It’s not about getting in the way, it’s not about confusing, it’s not about making things more complicated or making things harder. It’s just making sure that everyone is happy with what they’re creating and also that you’re creating things that are meaningful to them.”
Referring to the intimacy moderators, the Oscar-nominated actress added: “I’ve had good ones and bad ones. I’ve done a lot of s*x scenes before it’s even work, and I think I’m pretty confident and pretty happy in my own skin and I’ve always been able to make sure I’m being heard. That, to direct me that way.”
Pugh went on to state that her “opinion is changing about that as well” because the new title is still being refined and tweaked.
“Now I’ve had fantastic experiences with intimacy moderators. However, I say that, I’ve also had a sh** instance where someone made it so weird and so awkward and it really wasn’t helpful and it was like I wanted to be part of the set in a way that wasn’t helpful and I think it’s a job that’s still not overt.”
