England’s Brook rejects discussion on Ashes Rest after losing South Africa Odi Series

LONDON:

Harry Brooke urged England’s multiple forms cricket to push through an exhaustive program after another loss in South Africa.

The White-Ball Brook captain and England teammates Ben Duckett, Joe Root and Jamie Smith participated throughout a series of drainage tests with India before going straight to a hundred.

Not earlier that the domestic event was over, then everyone was back in the duty of England, they had to adapt to the very different demands of a one -day international cricket against a cruel and talented side of South Africa.

England suffered a seven wicket that hit the opening of Tuesday on Headingley, after collapsing in an annoying 131 everything out.

But they put a much better battle in Lord on Thursday before losing just five runs, chasing 331 to win, in a match that went up to the last ball.

South Africa now has a unavailable 2-0 lead in a series of three matches in front of Sunday’s final at Southampton.

The teams then meet in three international Twenty20s before England, with a refreshed group, travel to Ireland for another three T20s.

Brook, however, rejected England’s proposals, should now rest from their top test players, especially a Doking Duckett, in front of a series of showpiece tests in Australia starting in November.

“I do not choose the Ashes side. This is up to (Ben) Stokesy and Baz (Brendon McCullum),” he said, referring to the Captain and coach of Red-Ball in England.

“We want to try to play our strongest side in every white ball game.

“It’s easy to say that (we’re tired), but in my eyes it’s just an excuse. We’re good enough and enough to be able to continue playing for the time.”

In the meantime, Brook was encouraged by the improved England screen in Lord’s after his sadness show at his home in Yorkshire two days earlier.

“We thought that (South Africa) was 10 or 15 above the exchange rate, so it was a great attempt for us to get into a blow from their score,” he said.

However, England’s hopes for winning in series, however, were at stake by occasional Jacob Bethell and Will Jacks collapsing for 112 runs in combined 10 overs.

“I probably got it wrong in one case when I pushed Jacksy from the end of the booth to the right handling to hit it under the hill,” Brook said.

“It was a bet. And the bet was not repaid.”
