Dwayne Johnson gets candid about ‘Red One’ controversy.

Dwayne Johnson has previously been accused of arriving late and peeing in water bottles on set. Red. Now, he admits it’s kind of true.

In a conversation with GQ, The Mummy star acknowledged, “Yeah, that’s happening,” afterward The wrap he claimed that he was sometimes eight hours late on set.

“But not that amount, by the way. That was an amount of banana. This is crazy. Ridiculous,” said the megastar, breaking down the duration in the report.

Regarding the allegations that he peed in the water bottles, Dwayne said he does this to save time on set. “Yes. This is what happens…I’ve said a thousand times: ‘Hey, I’m here. Come and ask me. And I’ll tell you the truth.”

According to the report, the 52-year-old’s delay pushed the Christmas movie’s budget to $250 million.

THE Red alert stars, however, the overall controversy the report sparked was “bull*****”.

Backing him up, co-star Chris Evans and director Jake Kasdan jumped into the fray.

“[Dwayne] I never missed a single day of work,” the director told the report. “There’s a lot to happen. It can be slow sometimes, but that’s Hollywood — it happens to everyone. Honestly, I have done three big films with him. I’ve never seen him be great to every single person on set.”

In a similar vein, the Marvel actor said: “In terms of the guy I saw, compared to some of the stuff I’ve seen in other movies with other actors who are not only not aware of other people’s time and efforts, but it’s unpredictable? I found it’s Dwayne — we all know exactly what he’s going to do when he’s going to do it.”

He continued, “But that’s something that the producers, the director and his whole team, so everybody knows that. So everything is basic. It’s not like it was unexpectedly late, and I wouldn’t even call it late.”

“He comes a little later some mornings, but it’s part of the plan. It’s built into the schedules and everyone knows it, so he shows up when he’s scheduled to show up,” Chris added.
