Dortmund for the alert for leaders as well as known cracks emerge

Dortmund for the alert for leaders as well as known cracks emerge

BERLIN:

Borussia Dortmund’s early promise has already been eroded by well -known failures at critical times just three games in the Bundesliga era.

Dortmund, who hosts Wolfsburg on Sunday, has already shown a worrying tendency to fade away this season.

Top 3-1 at the St Pauli-five-minute St Pauli opener, Dortmund admitted twice in three minutes and lost the Center-Back Filippo Mane on a red card.

In the Champions League on Tuesday, Dortmund led three times to Juventus-including 4-2 in the third minute of the break-before the Italians to grab a 4-4 draw with two delayed goals.

Dortmund’s lack of leadership was also evident when the striker Serhou Guirassy and defender Ramy Bensebaini fell openly when they both wanted to get a delayed sentence, forcing coach Niko Kovac to intervene.

Many of the same criticisms have been leveled in Dortmund in recent times: a team of talent and promise is undermined by a lack of maturity.

Dortmund was united to identify the root of the problem after Tuesday’s game.

Athletic director Sebastian Kehl said his side was “a little naive in the last minutes”, adding “to give a sure victory in the end is a bitter result”.

Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel told reporters: “We have to finish the CoOLY game and calmly – we have to play more mature.”

If Dortmund has to answer, there is probably no better opponent than their bunnies, Wolfsburg, a team that had the best for a decade.

Dortmund has a remarkable recent record against wolves, especially at home, where they have not lost since 2012.

In the last four games at home against Wolfsburg, Dortmund won 4-0, 1-0, 6-0 and 6-1.

Wolfsburg’s hopes to overthrow the recent record could be reinforced by the potential debut of Christian Eriksen.

The 33 -year -old former Tottenham and Manchester United Midfielder said on Thursday that he was “suitable and ready” to play on Sunday.

“If you ask me, then yes. The coach chooses the team and decides who is ready for the game – but I’m ready.”

One to watch: Luis Diaz (Bayern Munich)

Harry Kane’s incredible route and Nicolas Jackson’s transfer mission was the form of another of the former Bayern Munich Premier League stars: Luis Diaz.

Diaz has been perfectly positioned on Bayern’s left wing since he arrived from Liverpool, scoring three goals and creating two more in only three Bundesliga matches.

Following Bayern 3-1 win over Chelsea on Wednesday, the 28-year-old Colombian revealed that he had talks with Barcelona in the summer, but made an “objective decision for my future” to move to Munich.

“I am very pleased with my decision to participate in this big club. There have been talks that are normal in the transport market, but I made the decision to come here and now I will try the best.”

Basically statistically

2 – Only three matches, two coaches have already been fired: Bayer Leverkusen’s Erik Ten Hag and Borussia Moenchengladbach Seoane. The two sides face Sunday.

36 – From the latest loss to Wolfsburg at home in 2012, Dortmund won 10 and scored two against the wolves, scoring 36 goals and scoring just five.

0 – Heidenheim is the only side that has still claimed a point this season. They play far from fellow Hamburg fighters on Saturday.
