Gordon Ramsay has just revealed more details about his accident and finally opened up about his ordeal during his recovery.
He began by sharing the news that he was in hospital following injuries sustained in a “really bad” bike accident in Connecticut in June 2024.
Ramsay first shared about his accident with fans on Instagram and X on Father’s Day, saying he was “lucky” to have survived it.
She then told the interviewer: “I’m in pain and it’s been a brutal week. But I’m getting over it.”
Recently, the Kitchen Nightmares host revealed the most “brutal” details about his accident.
According to Page sixRamsay was cruising on his bike when he hit a “crater-like pothole,” the impact spinning his two-wheeler and sending him to the ground.
Recovering himself after the accident, he tried to quickly fix his bike to finish his ride, but found his helmet completely cracked, his vision blurred and his body covered in blood.
Recalling the accident, the celebrity chef said: “I honestly thought I was going to pass out.”
Ramsay called his assistant, Justin Mandel, to take him to the hospital and after he got there, investigations revealed that he didn’t break any bones during the ordeal.
He was strictly advised to undergo daily lymphatic drainage treatment and physiotherapy to fully heal.
He also revealed that he couldn’t put on his own trousers and socks and Justin dressed him in the morning, which made him feel like he was a 95-year-old man. “Asking a 30-year-old to wear my underpants was embarrassing.”
Ramsay also posted two before and after photos of the tragedy, showing off his large purple hideous bruise and the gash that covered his side from the waist down to his ribs.
In conclusion, he advised everyone to wear a helmet while driving and warned, saying, “Honestly, you should wear a helmet. I don’t care how short the journey is.’
