Coca-Cola remembers drinks for concerns for the safety of chloride in selected purchases

Coca-Cola has launched a recall of some drinks in various European countries due to security concerns that are higher than acceptable levels of green, a chemical by-product.

The recall affects products in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, with a small number of products also sent to the United Kingdom, where they have already been sold.

Infected drinks include popular Coca-Cola brands such as Coke, Fanta, Sprite, Tropico and Minute Maid. Chloric can be formed when chlorine -based disinfectants are used in water treatment and food treatment.

However, Coca-Cola has emphasized that the independent analysis of experts shows that the risk for consumers is very low. Consumer complaints have not been reported in the United Kingdom and the company is working closely with the authorities to solve the problem.

The recalled products include specific containers of Appletiser, Coca-Cola Original Taste, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Diet Coke and Sprite Zero, with production codes ranging from 328 GE to 338 GE, which can be found at the base of the boxes.

Health experts, such as Caron Grazette, a nutritionist, have caused concerns about the potential risks of swallowing chemicals such as Chlorate, which is also used in fireworks and disinfectants.

High levels of chloride can lead to health problems such as thyroid problems, especially in children and infants, as well as symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and reduced oxygen absorption.

The issue was discovered during the usual tests at the Coca-Cola production plant in Ghent, Belgium. While the majority of non -stored products have been removed from the shelves, the company continues to withdraw the rest of the stock.

Coca-Cola reiterated that the safety and quality of its products remain a top priority. The UK Food Standards Service also investigates the issue, with officials ensuring that any unsafe products will be removed immediately from traffic.
