China can buy oil from Iran, hope they will buy more from us: Trump

US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that China can continue buying oil from Iran after bombing the OPEC member nuclear facilities and added that it hopes China would also buy “plenty” from the United States.

“China can now continue buying oil from Iran, hopefully they will buy a lot from the US, too,” Trump said in a social social position.

Trump’s position followed his announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel following the US bomb attack during the weekend of three Iranian nuclear spaces. It has publicly weakened both countries for early deception violations.

Earlier in his second term, which began in January, Trump said it redefines the “maximum pressure” in Iran over his nuclear program and supporting fighter teams in the Middle East. Its administration imposed a series of Iran -related sanctions, including measures aimed at many of China’s independent “teapot” refineries and port operators to market Iranian oil.

The actual lift of sanctions on Iranian oil would require action by the ministries and state departments, as well as the Congress. However, the administration could choose not to impose existing penalties, allowing it to allow more Iranian oil to flow into world markets.

China, the largest buyer of Iranian oil in the world, has firmly opposed what it calls “abuse of illegal unilateral sanctions” in Washington. The Chinese Embassy in Washington did not immediately respond to a request to comment on Trump’s statement.

Any significant increase in Iranian oil markets from China or other nations could block Saudi Arabia, a major US ally and the world’s top exporter.

The US Foreign Ministry reported Reuters’s request for comments at the White House, which has not yet responded.
